lightroomAlright so I am super excited to see that Adobe has just released the Lightroom Mobile app for iOS.  So here are all the steps needed to get mobile support setup and expand one’s desktop Lightroom catalog to the mobile app.

  1. Update Lightroom desktop application. (should show update on opening of application. If not select Help > Check for Updates context menu)
  2. Install update and open Lightroom. In the upper right click ‘Get started with Lightroom mobile >’ and click on sign in to sign into your Adobe ID.
  3. Now if you browse your collections pane you will see a small square to the right of a collection name.  Hover over that and you will see a sync icon appear. Click on that and it will sync with the mobile app. So next we must set up the app.
  4. Download ‘Lightroom‘ app from the App Store.
  5. Open app and sign in to account.
  6. Start working on synced collections.

There is a full set-up guide provided by Adobe.

Note this application does seem to require a subscription to Creative Cloud.  The cheapest is the ‘Photoshop Photography Program‘ available for $9.99 per month.
